Surprising Silhouettes
This 'Surprising Silhouettes' workshop is a new twist on an old idea from my book of the same name.. It derives from 'Notan', a Japanese concept of patterns created from dark and light paper cuts which celebrates contrast and balance. Translating that idea to fabric opens up a multitude of new possibilities which are both fast and easy. However cutting fabric throws up more challenges than cutting paper, but this workshop shows you how to anticipate and overcome them all.
Amazing designs can be created by the most inexperienced designers, so this is ideal for those who are apprehensive of their design skills..... you don't need any !! This technique enables quilts of all sizes and subjects from abstract to 'teddies' to be swiftly machine stitched , so there is something here for everyone no matter what your taste or level of expertise
Create you own designer original.
A fun day with great results!!
